If a caster has negative Mental Fatigue, then they loose one point in skill for every point below 0. After they have reached -Mana in Mental Fatigue, they have passed out until they regain at least 1 MF point. Whenever a mage goes below -Mana magic points there is a chance that they will be “burned out” by the magic. For each point below -Mana they will need one success on a Mana roll. Every uncountered point will reduce their Mana by one.
Denenburg is at the end of his power. He has -6 MF, and his Mana is 7. He casts a spell with 5 drain, lowering his MF to -11. He now rolls a Mana roll, gaining 5successes; therefore he looses no Mana.
Regaining Magic Points depends on the activity of the spell caster. Use the following chart for times:
Activity | Amount gained |
Meditation | Use Meditation Skill |
Sleeping | 4 Mental Fatigue/Hour |
Quiet Resting | 3 Mental Fatigue/Hour |
Resting | 2 Mental Fatigue/Hour |
